Class 390 Pendolino refurbishment on track for June 2024 completion

First class passengers travelling on Avanti West Coast's 56 Class 390 Pendolino trains are already benefitting from Quantum Seating's high quality seating and the programme is on track to be completed by June 2024.

The existing seat frames and shell are being refurbished by Quantum Seating for reuse with new fabrics; this has required a derogation from the Rail Safety & Standards Board, confirming that the seats still comply with the technical standards in force at the time they were first installed. Every seat is also fitted with a power point.  

The ambitious programme is now seeing a nine-car set being refurbished in just 10 days including snagging; the team at Quantum Seating have kept up pace to ensure everything is in place on time.
